On Thursday July 30th from 18:30 till 23:30\, De Nachtzuster transforms into an intimate space satellite. Expect trip-hop\, beats\, deep grooves\, and experimental rhythms. A long soundtrack that takes you from J Dilla to Flying Lotus\, from Massive Attack to DJ Shadow. From afternoon to midnight. No rush\, just hypnotic bass and a close-knit vibe. It’s the sound of Los Angeles in the 2000s: a post-sunset drive where jazz\, hip-hop\, and electronic music blend into a heavy\, cosmic whole. Born from a community of producers in bedrooms and basements\, this scene pushed instrumental hip-hop into thrilling new territory. The scene was shaped by producer nights like the legendary Low End Theory (weekly at The Airliner in Lincoln Heights). For $10 you could hear future greats like Flying Lotus in an intimate room. It’s all about raw creativity: sampling and drum programming with no rules. The vibe is “everything mixed together”: dusty samples meet futuristic synths\, and swinging\, off-kilter rhythms create a hypnotic head-nod.
