Milestones is an innovative performance project that reimagines the traditional dance battle by integrating live music in real time. The project creates a dynamic platform where dancers and musicians collaborate in a high-energy, competitive format. By incorporating a live band, Milestones offers a unique space for dancers to engage with music in a way that challenges conventional expectations, encouraging spontaneous interaction between performers.

The core of Milestones is a live dance battle, but with a transformative twist—dancers will face off not only against each other, but also in response to a live band’s ever- changing musical styles. These styles will often diverge from the typical genres associated with dance battles, pushing both dancers and musicians out of their comfort zones. The band will have the creative freedom to experiment with diverse genres, rhythms, and tempos, creating a dynamic and unpredictable environment that emphasizes innovation and improvisation. Milestones will be hosted by Siobhán O’Connor.
